10 Days
It has been 10 days since I took away (I mean lost) Kylee's binkie. Though it's getting easier, she has completely stopped taking naps and hasn't taken once since then. I'm guessing it's because she's not as comfortable or at ease as she was with that stupid binkie in her mouth. I was down to only one binkie and I lost it last Tuesday (that was a bad day) so I decided I would run with it and see how we do. I am terrified to take her on a car ride longer than 5 minutes. She had just barely gotten over whatever her problem was with being in a carseat. I'm afraid she's going to revert! But I guess she's been as good as expected considering her security blanket got taken away. Maybe now she'll get attached to something else, she's never had "something" that she couldn't do without. I would like her to have a favorite something, it would probably settle her down in public. She's oh-so-fun in stores and restaurants. Anyway, now I have two binkie-free kiddos!!

ya its wubs and bink for ree..i hope it isnt hard whn they part lol....have u tried a security blanket thingy?.....
That's great!! I didn't have a problem with taking the binki away from Cade but I heard girls are harder in that aspect than boys. This might help you; Every night when it's Cade's bedtime (or nap time) I make it fun, I tell him to go pick out one toy to take to bed and he loves picking out the right toy! It gives him a sense of control and toddlers love that. That really makes nap and bedtime way easier!
That is a great idea about picking out a toy - Kyan still has his bear and blanket from when he was a baby and Lola won't give up her piggy for anything - she know calls for it by name, and it is a rare occasion that we forget it because all hell would break loose!
Congrats for 2 binkie free kids! Kyan was easy and just quit taking it after 6 months - Lola on the other hand will be harder, but that is what we will work on at 18 months along with the potty i think! She already tells me, "I poop!"
thats cool! man, who knew with kids that you'd have all these details!
That's awesome!! Jayla was easy for me, she just decided at 10 months old she hated it. I actually think it caused her pain with her top teeth coming in. She also has "Miss Kitty" that she CAN'T live with out. I don't allow her to drag it in public places (home and car only). On the other hand Jay may have some troubles with those bottles. She is soooo stuborn and refuses to drink milk out of anything but a bottle. Her doctor said she needs to have 24 oz of cheese, yogurt, or milk. She hates cheese and yogurt, so he said keep the bottles around until she consumes more of the others or drinks milk out of something else. She only gets one in the morning and at night (still only 16 oz), but I want them GONE!!!
Good job for being STRONG! I've TRIED to get Camden to attach to so many things: Piglet, Lambert, blankies, pacifiers, etc. etc...but she WON'T! She is quite the feisty pants.
