We've been attempting to save money, well to at least not spend as much as we're used to. Unfortunately for me it means staying at home all day and not being able to take the kids anywhere that I usually take them. Not just to save on gas, but to save money on doing things as well. After about a week of being couped up during the day, I started getting restless and told Ryan that we needed to find something to do with the kids that doesn't really require spending anything. Since it's so hot out, it's a little more difficult to find that something. But Ryan came up with a great idea. There's this place called Usery Mountain Pass in far east Mesa on your way to Saguaro Lake. It's a bow hunting range. There's trails you can walk that have fake animals such as deer, antelope, etc., along the way that you shoot at. Well since the kids love shooting daddy's bow so much I thought it would be perfect for them. And it was! And since it was on the side of mountain, it was beautiful too.
