This past Friday night was the first Friday of the month. As many of you know, the Children's Museum of Phoenix has free admission on first Fridays. I have been dying to take the kids there for a long time so I thought we would take advantage of the free admission. But holy crap! There was a two hour wait ;-( Of course we didn't know that until we had already stood in line for 20 minutes. I overheard the lady at the front say that once you get through the line (1 hour there) that there was another hour wait before they would call for your party to go through. Ummmmm... nope. We were willing to stick out the first hour, but not the second unfortunately. We ended up taking them to the mall in Gilbert for ice cream and to play at the playground instead. I was super disappointed, I had been looking forward to it for a long time.

I would have been pissed! You guys drove all that way! But at least u were all together and got ice cream (yum)

Yes, the wait part isn't the greatest. One of the workers told us, the BEST time to go to the Museum (to virtually have NO wait & have the place to yourselves) is during the week, after 3:00 p.m.
That's the main reason I haven't bought a season pass- it's just so crowded all the time!
Michael & I may check out the Musical Instrument Museum by our house this week- maybe bring Camden there for her B-Day?
what a bummer that you drove all the way out there and then had a super long wait! i bet with it being summer, the wait time is crazy!
